Code of Conduct

The RGC community (the official forum, the activity feed, GitHub repositories, and other official channels) is committed to a friendly, professional, harassment-free experience for everyone. By participating, you agree to this code.

Our pledge

Everyone should be able to participate in the RGC community without harassment, regardless of age, body size, disability, gender identity and expression, experience level, education, socio-economic status, nationality, appearance, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

Expected behavior

  • Be kind and respectful: polite wording, patient with newcomers, critique ideas rather than people.
  • Share knowledge: search before asking, back up answers with evidence and reproducible examples.
  • Respect differing viewpoints: keep technical disagreements about the topic; let others disagree with you.
  • Consider the community: your words reach people of many backgrounds — think before you post.
  • Follow channel rules: post in the right board or channel and follow moderators' topic decisions.

Unacceptable behavior

  • Sexualized language or imagery, and any form of sexual harassment.
  • Personal attacks, insulting slurs, or discrimination of any kind (trolling, flame wars).
  • Deliberate harassment, public or private, including contacting someone after they asked you to stop.
  • Publishing others' private information without consent (doxxing).
  • Spam, malware, pirated content, or unrelated promotion.
  • Any other conduct reasonably considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Scope

This code applies to all official community spaces (forum, activity feed, GitHub issues / PRs / discussions) and to situations where you represent the community, such as attending events as an RGC member.

Reporting and enforcement

To report a violation, contact the maintainers via a GitHub issue or a forum private message, and include screenshots or links as evidence.

  • Maintainers may remove or edit violating content, and may warn, temporarily mute, or permanently ban offenders.
  • If you disagree with a decision, you may appeal and the maintainers will review it.
  • Reports are kept confidential; good-faith reporters are never retaliated against.
